Detoxification
Program
Detoxification program is designed to support the body's capacity to eliminate stored toxins. Toxins are stored in the tissues of the body where they can interfere with healthy metabolism. Toxins can come from external sources such as foods and pollutants or they can be produced by the body as part of normal metabolism or abnormally as a product of oxidation in the body or putrefaction in the gut. The main organs involved in detoxification are the liver, kidneys, skin, and large intestine. When the body is detoxing toxins may be released into the blood causing us to feel sick or tired. Also when the body is detoxing it may move into a discharge mode. Discharge can include fevers, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, sweating, etc. These are normal and generally should be supported not suppressed. Also stored toxic emotions may be discharged, causing us to feel angry or sad without apparent cause. As the body detoxifies you may experience more clarity, energy, lightness and flexibility.
